This page outlines fees, funding options, and appointment policies for Balance and Bloom Occupational Therapy.

Occupational Therapy Initial Consultation
This includes 45 minutes to 1 hour face-to-face with the child, plus 30 minutes to 45 minutes of non-face-to-face supports required to facilitate the session.

Custom Made Resources
Custom resources (such as visual schedules) are priced based on the time required and the cost of materials.
Travel
Travel time is charged in line with NDIS guidelines when travel is required for service delivery.
Funding Options
NDIS (self-managed)
Balance and Bloom is not an NDIA registered provider and accepts NDIS self-managed participants as new clients.
Medicare
Families can speak with their GP about an occupational therapy referral through an appropriate plan or pathway. This may provide a Medicare rebate for a limited number of OT sessions (rebates apply to OT sessions only).
Private Health Insurance
An invoice receipt can be provided for families to claim with their private health insurer. Rebates depend on the individual policy.
Private Payment
Private payment is available.
Appointments and Attendance
Appointment Types
Appointments may be offered as:
- Clinic sessions in Queanbeyan
- Telehealth sessions
- Mobile sessions (home, work, school, early learning) if appropriate
Attendance and Participation
Family, caregiver or support worker involvement may be included in sessions, particularly when goal setting, planning strategies, or supporting carryover at home and school.
Cancellations and Missed Appointments
If an appointment needs to be changed, clients are encouraged to get in touch as soon as possible.
Cancellation policy: Cancellation and missed appointment details are outlined during the booking process and service agreements and may depend on the type of appointment booked. Where a cancellation occurs with short notice or an appointment is missed, a fee may apply
